One of the most important components of a well-developed neighborhood are its green spaces. They not only provide a beautiful view, they also define the flavour of the area, bring neighbours together, build community, offer spaces for reflection and introspection, provide opportunities to commune with nature, create places for recreation for people of all ages, they also improve property value and promote health and wellness overall.

K-Square Condos is in the centre of some of the most beautiful parkland in the GTA. Nature lovers will find 37 acres of green space within minutes of home including Metrogate Parks impeccably manicured gardens, Collingwood Park, Glamorgan Park and many other intimate parkettes perfect for reading, walking your four-legged best friend or enjoying a quiet moment to yourself.

Glamorgan Park is a wonderful example of how parks can bring a community together. It boasts a brand-new volunteer built playground. Children from the nearby elementary school created a “wish list” and over 600 local volunteers made their dreams come true by spending the day installing new play structures, landscaping and painting colourful murals.

Collingwood Park is the perfect spot for recreation. You’ll find tree-shaded swings and climbing towers to keep kids busy and active. It’s also a great spot to spark up an impromptu game of soccer on the wide-open field. Or perhaps go for a solo-run around the paved trails and enjoy the sounds of nature. Scarborough’s bird population attracts many birders for the variety of species that make this area home including red-winged blackbirds, black-capped chickadees, you will likely spot the gorgeous red of the northern cardinals and of course, the Toronto Blue Jay.

Of course, if you want to venture a little ways away and make a day of it, with the new 175 Bluffers Park TTC Service right near K-Square, you can be at the awe-inspiring Scarborough Bluffs in minutes. Bike, hike or stroll along the nine parks of the Bluffs that line the incredible hills of the escarpment. Bring a pail and shovel and visit the sand beach for some afternoon castle building. Explore the stunning tree-lined paths or perhaps trek the series of Insta-worthy wooden bridges that lead you across beautiful aquifer ponds. There is so much to do and see at The Bluffs you certainly won’t run out of options.

Anyway you choose to connect with nature, K Square Condos has you covered.
